Event Rider, Leonard Goerens offers a wealth of experience to potential
owners, sponsors and those looking to enjoy the sport of Eventing.

He developed these skills within the French equestrian military, with a further two years in Spain, competing both Show Jumpers and Event horses internationally.
In 1997 Leonard came to England and spent 3 years working with and learning from Andrew Nicholson, before setting up his own yard in Gloucestershire.
Leonard represented France as a Junior and Young Rider Gold medal winning team member, later going on to compete at Pau, Blenheim and other prestigious international events and earning a place on the long list for the Sydney Olympics.
He has earned an excellent reputation for

sourcing and producing young
horses, many of whom have gone on to compete at high level within the
sport with Junior and Young Riders.
Leonard is a dedicated professional who produces horses with their long
term welfare and competitive future in mind; he has an excellent rapport
with his horses and works closely with other professional trainers such
as former Olympic show Jumper

Leonard’s international experience and fluency in three languages, together with his excellent network of contacts, places him well as an agent for sourcing and selling the very best event horses, both in the UK and abroad.
Leonard runs the business with his partner Emma Shoesmith who has competed to intermediate level, holds a degree in International Equine Business & a diploma in sports therapy; her excellent organisational skills ensure the smooth running of the yard and competition schedule.
